If you’re in the mood for a delicious breakfast that’s as impressive as it is easy to make, look no further than a Dutch baby pancake. This fluffy, oven-baked pancake puffs up beautifully in the oven and can be customized with a variety of fillings. Today, I’m sharing my favorite version: a savory spinach and feta Dutch baby that’s sure to become a morning favorite!

Ingredients for the Batter

– 3 large eggs
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup milk
– 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– Pinch of salt

Ingredients for the Fillings

– 2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
– 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
– 1 medium tomato, diced
– Olive oil (for drizzling)

Feel free to mix and match other fillings too—mushrooms, bell peppers, or even herbs like basil or dill can add wonderful flavors!

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a cast-iron skillet or an oven-safe pan inside to heat up. This will help create that signature puffiness in your Dutch baby.

Step 2: Make the Batter

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, nutmeg, sugar, and a pinch of salt until smooth. The batter should be slightly thick but pourable. Let it sit while the oven and skillet preheat.

Step 3: Prepare the Fillings

While the batter is resting, prepare your fillings. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta, and diced tomato. Toss them together lightly, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.

Step 4: Melt the Butter

Once the oven and skillet are hot, carefully remove the skillet and add the butter. Swirl it around until it melts and coats the bottom of the skillet.

Step 5: Pour in the Batter
Quickly pour the batter into the hot skillet over the melted butter. The batter should sizzle as it hits the skillet, ensuring a nice rise.

Step 6: Add the Fillings

Immediately sprinkle the spinach, feta, and tomato mixture evenly over the top of the batter. Don’t worry if it looks a little sparse—the Dutch baby will puff up around the fillings!

Step 7: Bake

Return the skillet to the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is puffed and set. The Dutch baby should rise beautifully during baking, creating a delightful, airy texture.

Step 8: Serve and Enjoy

Once done, remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for a minute. The pancake will begin to deflate slightly, which is normal. Cut it into wedges and serve warm, drizzling with a little olive oil for added richness.

This Not-So-Dutch Spinach and Feta Dutch Baby is a delightful twist on the classic pancake. With its fluffy texture and savory fillings, it’s perfect for brunch or a special breakfast treat. Feel free to get creative with your fillings—this recipe is versatile and forgiving, making it easy to adapt to your taste. So, gather your ingredients, fire up that oven, and enjoy a deliciously puffy pancake that’s sure to impress! Happy cooking!

If you’re looking to impress at your next dinner, nothing beats the combination of homemade pasta and succulent shrimp in a garlicky lemon butter sauce. This dish is not only delicious but also a wonderful way to showcase the art of pasta making. Let’s dive into how to create this culinary masterpiece from scratch!

Homemade Spaghetti Recipe

Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 3 large eggs
– 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1: Make the Dough

To start, combine the flour and salt on a clean countertop or in a large mixing bowl. Create a well in the center and crack in the eggs. Using a fork, gently whisk the eggs, gradually incorporating the flour until a shaggy dough forms.

Step 2: Knead and Rest

Once the dough comes together, knead it by hand for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for about an hour. This resting period allows the gluten to relax, making it easier to roll out later.

Step 3: Shape the Spaghetti

After the dough has rested, divide it into smaller portions. Using your KitchenAid pasta maker attachment, roll the dough through the machine, gradually decreasing the thickness setting until you achieve your desired noodle thickness. Cut the rolled pasta into spaghetti strands and dust with a bit of flour to prevent sticking.

Garlicky Lemon Butter Shrimp

Ingredients:
– 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
– 1/4 cup capers
– Juice of 1 lemon
– 1/2 cup white wine
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 1 medium tomato, diced
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Step 4: Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic!

Step 5: Add the Shrimp and Other Ingredients

Once the garlic is fragrant, add the shrimp to the skillet, along with the capers, white wine, lemon juice, and diced tomato. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sauté the shrimp until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. The sauce will begin to thicken, creating a delightful coating for the shrimp.

Step 6: Cook the Pasta

While the shrimp are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your freshly made spaghetti and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until al dente. Fresh pasta cooks quickly, so keep an eye on it!

Step 7: Combine and Serve

Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and reserve a bit of the pasta water. Add the spaghetti directly to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce, tossing to combine. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.

Step 8: Garnish and Enjoy

Serve your garlicky lemon butter shrimp and homemade pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley. The bright flavors of lemon and garlic, combined with the richness of the butter and the savory shrimp, create a dish that’s sure to impress.

This Garlicky Lemon Butter Shrimp and Homemade Pasta dish is the perfect way to enjoy a restaurant-quality meal in the comfort of your home. The homemade spaghetti adds an extra layer of authenticity, while the flavorful sauce elevates the dish to new heights. So gather your ingredients, roll up your sleeves, and enjoy a delightful culinary experience! Bon appétit!

If you’re searching for a side dish that’s both simple to make and utterly delicious, look no further than glazed carrots! This recipe features organic carrots with the stems still attached, which not only look beautiful but also provide a burst of flavor. With just a handful of ingredients, including rich unsalted butter, organic brown sugar, and a hint of nutmeg, these glazed carrots are sure to become a staple at your dinner table. Let’s dive into how to create this mouthwatering dish!

Ingredients

– 1 pound organic carrots with stems
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (Kerrygold is a favorite)
– Salt, to taste
– Pepper, to taste
– 2 tablespoons organic brown sugar
– A tiny pinch of nutmeg

Step 1: Prepare the Carrots

Start by washing the organic carrots thoroughly to remove any dirt. If the carrots are large, you can cut them into halves or quarters for more even cooking. Leaving the stems on adds a rustic touch and enhances the presentation.

Step 2: Sauté the Carrots

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once the butter is bubbly and fragrant, add the prepared carrots to the pan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The combination of the butter and the natural sweetness of the carrots will create a wonderful base for glazing.

Step 3: Glaze the Carrots

Sauté the carrots for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. You want them to develop a golden-brown color while becoming tender. As the carrots cook, add the organic brown sugar and a tiny pinch of nutmeg. Stir to coat the carrots evenly in the buttery sugar mixture. The sugar will melt and create a beautiful glaze that clings to the carrots.

Step 4: Finish Cooking

Continue to cook the carrots for another 5-10 minutes until they are fully tender and nicely caramelized. The glaze should be thick and syrupy, enhancing the natural sweetness of the carrots. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

Once your glazed carrots are done, transfer them to a serving dish. They make for a perfect side for any dinner, whether you’re serving roast chicken, grilled steak, or a hearty vegetarian dish. The combination of buttery sweetness and subtle spice will have everyone coming back for seconds!

For the Dough: (from our Easy Pizza Dough Recipe)
– 250 grams of all-purpose flour
– 250 grams of bread flour
– 325 grams of water
– 10 grams of salt
– 1 tsp of active dry yeast

– For the Filling:
– 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
– 1 cup fresh mozzarella, diced
– 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
– 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 cup diced ham
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Olive oil (for drizzling)

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

Start by following our Easy Pizza Dough Recipe to prepare your dough. After allowing it to rise, divide the dough into two equal portions for your calzones. This recipe will yield two generous calzones, perfect for sharing!

Step 2: Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, diced fresh mozzarella, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, chopped basil, and diced ham. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. This filling is rich in flavor and ensures every bite is packed with goodness.

Step 3: Shape the Calzones

On a lightly floured surface, take one portion of dough and roll it out into a round shape, about 10-12 inches in diameter. Place half of the filling on one half of the dough, leaving a small border around the edge. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together firmly, then crimp them with a fork or pinch to seal securely.

Repeat this process with the second portion of dough and remaining filling.

Step 4: Preheat Your Ooni Oven

To achieve that perfect calzone texture, preheat your Ooni oven according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Aim for a temperature of around 500°F to 550°F. If your oven has a slow-bake option, this will help develop a beautifully golden crust.

Step 5: Bake the Calzones

Once your oven is hot, carefully place the calzones inside using a pizza peel. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown and puffed up. Keep an eye on them, as cooking times may vary based on your specific oven model.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

When your calzones are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil for added flavor, slice, and serve! These calzones are perfect as a meal or a snack, and they pair wonderfully with marinara sauce for dipping.

Making delicious Ooni oven calzones at home is easier than you might think! With the perfect dough and a flavorful filling, you can create a dish that rivals any pizzeria. So gather your ingredients, fire up your Ooni oven, and enjoy this delectable treat straight from your kitchen! Buon appetito!

If you’re looking to elevate your brunch game, look no further than this mouthwatering NY Style Breakfast Pizza. With a perfect blend of savory and sweet, this pizza features a delectable sauce made from maple syrup and Frank’s hot sauce, topped with gooey mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, flavorful sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and a sprinkle of fresh chives. Let’s dive into how to create this unique breakfast delight!

Ingredients

For the Sauce:
– 1/2 cup maple syrup
– 2 tablespoons Frank’s hot sauce (adjust to taste)

For the Toppings:
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 4 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled
– 2 cooked sausage links, sliced
– 4 scrambled eggs
– 2 tablespoons chopped chives
– Olive oil (for drizzling)
– Semolina flour (so your pie does not stick)

Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

Start by whisking together the maple syrup and Frank’s hot sauce in a small bowl. This sauce is the star of the show, combining the sweetness of maple with the kick of hot sauce, creating a perfect balance that will tantalize your taste buds. Set it aside while you prepare your pizza base and toppings.

Step 2:
Preheat Your Oven

To achieve that perfect NY style crust, preheat your oven to a scorching 550°F (about 288°C). Make sure to place your pizza stone in the oven before you start heating. For best results, let the oven preheat for at least 45 minutes. This is important- it ensures that the stone gets hot enough to give your pizza a beautifully crispy bottom. I like to put my pizza stone higher up in the oven… heat rises right? So, it should get hotter up top.

Step 3: Assemble the Pizza

ALERT– make sure you have semolina flour in a bowl. Take a dough ball and get the semolina flour all over it and dust some onto your countertop. This will help a lot in preventing youtr pizza from sticking when you slide it into the oven.

BEGINNER OPTION– assemble your pizza on parchment paper, you can slide the parchment with the pizza on it, right into the oven onto your pizza stone.

When the oven is done preheating, after you have the semolina on the dough ball and work surface, use the tips of your fingers to press out the dough a bit, while avoiding the edges. Then use gravity to stretch the dough out into a circle until you have roughly the size pizza you want. Thin is okay as long as you don’t get any holes. Patch them up if you do.

Spread a layer of your maple hot sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Next, sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese, followed by the crumbled bacon and sausage. Finally, add the scrambled eggs on top, ensuring an even distribution for every slice.

Step 4: Bake the Pizza

Carefully slide your assembled pizza onto the preheated pizza stone in the oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden, and the crust is perfectly crispy. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning—every oven is a little different! You may need to rotate the pizza halfway through if the back portion is cooking faster.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

Once your pizza is out of the oven, sprinkle it with fresh chives and drizzle with a bit of olive oil for added flavor if you want… or more maple hot sauce. Let it cool for a minute or two, then slice and serve hot.

Enjoy!
This NY Style Breakfast Pizza is a delicious and unique twist on traditional breakfast fare. Perfect for a weekend brunch or any time you want to indulge in something special, it’s sure to impress your family and friends. So, gather your ingredients and get ready to savor every cheesy, crispy, spicy bite! Enjoy!

Making homemade pizza is a delightful experience, and it all starts with the perfect dough. This easy pizza dough recipe is straightforward and yields a delicious, chewy crust that’s perfect for your favorite toppings. Here’s how to whip up your own pizza dough with minimal fuss!

Ingredients:

– 250 grams of all-purpose flour
– 250 grams of bread flour
– 325 grams of water (divided)
– 10 grams of salt
– 1 tsp of active dry yeast

Step 1: Mixing the Flours

Begin by mixing the all-purpose flour and bread flour together in a large bowl. Next, take 300 grams of the water and pour it over the flour mixture. Stir until combined, ensuring there are no dry bits left. Once you’ve got a shaggy dough, cover the bowl with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let it rest for 45 minutes to an hour. This process, known as autolyse, helps the flour absorb the water, leading to a better texture and flavor in your dough.

Step 2: Adding the Yeast and Salt

After the autolyse period, it’s time to add the remaining 25 grams of water, along with the salt and active dry yeast. Mix everything together until fully incorporated. This might require some kneading or mixing by hand to ensure the salt and yeast are evenly distributed throughout the dough. Once combined, cover the bowl again and let it rest for another 30 minutes. This rest allows the yeast to start activating and the salt to enhance the dough’s flavor.

Step 3: Stretch and Fold

After your dough has rested, it’s time for some stretch and folds! Over the next 1.5 hours, every 30 minutes, gently stretch the dough from the edges and fold it back towards the center. This technique helps build gluten structure, resulting in a chewier, more elastic dough. Be gentle to avoid tearing the dough—you’re just encouraging it to rise and develop strength.

Final Rise

Once you’ve completed the stretch and fold routine, let your dough rest until it doubles in size. This may take a few hours, depending on the temperature of your kitchen. A warm environment will speed up the fermentation process, allowing your dough to rise beautifully.

Storing Your Dough

When your dough has risen, it’s time to store it. Place it in the fridge for a minimum of 24 hours, or up to 72 hours. This cold fermentation allows the flavors to deepen and improve, making your pizza even more delicious. When you’re ready to bake, simply take it out, let it come to room temperature, and then shape it into your favorite pizza base!

Now Go Try Out This Eazy Pizza Dough Recipe!

You’ll be well on your way to creating homemade pizza that rivals your favorite pizzeria. Top it with your favorite ingredients, and enjoy the delicious results! This recipe makes about four 12″ or two 16″ round pizza doughs.
